Little disapointed with V1

Have owned my V1 for about 7 years now and decided I would send it in for an update - The fact that V1 offers that is great as I get a new unit for $189 as opposed to $399

Was a little miffed my only shipping method was $15 and FedEx to boot as the guy that delivers my area down right sucks. But that is another story

So I ship it off with a money order from BofA and patiently waited. They received the unit on 10/22 - Didn't get anything saying they got it or how long it would take. So knowing they send a new unit out I was starting to wonder what the hold up was. This past Monday (in their possession for 1 week) I kick an email to them with the tracking info and my contact info. Never heard back.

So today I call them and had the pleasure of being disconnected 3 times after waiting on hold for about 10 minutes each and having Mike's recording tell me he was embarrassed I had to wait so long. The 4th call was the charm and I got some one that quickly told me it was shipping today and the delay was due to a 10 day check hold.....

That's fine but no where did the paper work mention there would be a check hold and I didn't feel good about writing my CC info on a sheet of paper that could be laid down anywhere so I sent a money order.

They said they couldn't provide a tracking number and they make it signature required so it should be fun trying to actually get the damn thing when it get delivered 3 weeks after I sent it to them.

I sent my Escort in for repair and called to give them a cc # beforehand. They gave me a work # to write on my package, so it got tied to my payment. A week later they called to say it was gonna be another $20 or so and asked me to authorize the charge. I did and got a completely new 8500/X50 with a new car plug/charger and suction cup mount. Not bad for $80.
