Does anyone have an idea what type of car this is?

I was going to say Bricklin too but I'm not very good at the name that car game.

I don't think that's a Bricklin, unless it's a heavily modified one. They were made here in town, and there are a few of them driving around. There are 2-3 within a few blocks, actually.
It looks more like some type of kit car, and there's one in mind that I've seen pictures of. Almost looked like an aardvark.

I was basing my guess mainly on the wheels and bumber in the last picture.

My first feeling was Bricklin but I'm beginning to think it's a bad kit car.

Boy, Markus, that's a bit of a stretch.
Even though you did say vaguely.

Not convinced it's a kit similar to a Matra Bagheera.
Found this picture of a Matra Bagheera on Wikipedia

I'm guessing a kit of somesort.
At first I thought those were DeLorean Rims, However after looking at it more carefully, I think the spokes are farther apart than the "D" rims.

Odd. I can't get the 1982 Corvette out of my mind...
![]() The wheels certainly look the same, but the nose profile is totally different and seems too high on the mystery car. I can see certain similarities between the position of the two black grilles on the front of the mystery car and the pop-up headlight panels on the 'vette. I wonder if someone was trying to get creative and restyling the nose on a 'vette? I'm guessing it's the front we're looking at? I'm guessing the car is in the USA?

I can't be sure which end we are looking at. It seems to be the rear based on the direction of the vents, the width of the car from this end, and now the plate (though that can certainly be on the front).
