The wheels certainly look the same, but the nose profile is totally different and seems too high on the mystery car. I can see certain similarities between the position of the two black grilles on the front of the mystery car and the pop-up headlight panels on the 'vette. I wonder if someone was trying to get creative and restyling the nose on a 'vette?

I'm guessing it's the front we're looking at? I'm guessing the car is in the USA?
Aerkuld may be right. A lot of people have done some very strange things to Corvettes over the years. The fiberglass makes it a good starting point for "creativity". I am guessing that nobody will be able to figure it out because it is a "one-off".

But if we do figure it out, next we have to start trying to identify the car behind it!

Mr. Wizard, why don't you go up to the door and ask what it is?

I have to argue the 'Vette wheels.
If you look carefully the "dish" or space between the spokes and the bead are different sizes. The Corvette rims have a much deeper dish than the mystery car. Almost twice as much.

Just playing Devil's advocate

Those are the only pics that I have. A buddy of mine took them in FL when he was doing some road construction. He has had no luck either figuring out what it is so he sent em to me. From what he told me the neighborhood is not very friendly and the house is surrounded by the iron gates, so he deemed this not that important.

Here's the message I posted on the Vortex:

This explains many of the car's features:

- The white/black color scheme (It's a Police car)
- The black nose with a bump up in the center (the bumper came up higher between the headlights on the original)
- The mystery badge (The original features a police badge with a star in the middle - much larger of course)
- The drop-down headlights (Originals were recessed)
- The black vents in the hood (which apparently chagned shape and position, but there were always a number of them)
- Any extra pieces that pop-out, pop-in, or otherwise look like they would move
- The triangular form (gray on this car) isn't exact, but there WAS a black traigular piece on the leading edge of the original's hood.
- The bulge in the hood just past the area covered by the tarp (note that the bulge is rounded in the front, just like the Transformer where his head folds out)
- The prominent orange reflectors

Things we aren't quite sure about, but can take guesses:

- To the left of the grey triangle, there is a shape that looks almost like a fat "H". On the right side is something else, but it is partially obscured in all of the photos. If this was a "P", it would fit, since the original car had "Highway Patrol" written on it, something you certainly couldn't do on a street car (save for the movie sets).
- There is something sticking up under the tarp in the rear. This could be a fake weapon, a wing, or anything else that the car carried in the TV series.

I was thinking it might be a Maserati Meark. Here's a sight with some pics. What do you think?

i don't see the resemblance with the Merak

and i don't think the mystery car has a trident in it, although it is hard to tell, maybe it's faded...
