Haven't been there in a long time, but http://www.somethingawful.com was a great site. Lots of humor. Interesting forum.
Looking now, seems to have changed a bit in layout...but still seems to keep the same satirical content. ICQ Pranks - using ICQ Instant messenger. I hear ya, buddy. I used to be eager to check the forums each day. Now it's something that I'm almost indifferent to.
I used to really enjoy "somethingawful", but not so much since they changed their format. For car forums, I peruse the two SCCA regions that I participate with as well as the local college-run sportscar forum. I tried the corvette forum for a while, but the advertising and attitudes really put me off. And although you don't want porn, you may want to find a more "adult oriented" forum to visit. Assuming your SO is okay with it, there are some "interesting" topics being discussed. And before anyone asks, no I will not provide links.
