She is the consumate insider. I have not voted republican since voting for Bush Sr. in the 1988 election, but I would certainly be prone to vote against Hillary. I would certainly vote for Romney over her any day of the week. I need to learn more about Mike Huckabee. |

Honestly, Obama mama be a muslim. Obama daddy be a muslim. Obama refuses to show reverence to the flag during the pledge or National Anthem. He claims he's not a muslim and that has nothing to do with it. I could be elected pope easier than Obama could get elected president.

Funny, that's what the Dems thought 8 years ago when an ex-party boy and serial business failure showed up on the national scene. All he had going for him was his family name and the ability to seem less like an ivy league brat and more like a down home 'regular guy' you'd like to invite to your backyard barbeque. And look where that went.

You may be right, look at the less than adequate people they ran against him. The dems dismissed him then, they can't get over their own ineptitude. |

You can never underestimate the importance of "likeability" with the American voters. That's why Bush Jr. won, and is one of the reasons why Hillary can't win.

Is that an insinuation that you think Obama will win, or just a poke at me, oh grand mufti?

There are a few national polls showing Hillary's supposed 'unlikability factor' is lower than that of the top Republican contenders. Hard to believe that 7 years into the Bush administration anyone would consider Gore or Kerry to have been worse choices.

The mistakes and missteps done by the present administration were all honest ones. They are doing their best to manage this country and the ROW. How could you not possibly see this? I am shocked. Honestly now.... If only a sitting president were not limited by law to only two terms, we could get out of this mess. I know that in my heart of hearts.

"Hard to believe that 7 years into the Bush administration anyone would consider Gore or Kerry to have been worse choices." No it isn't hard at all, just keep looking at Algor and Kerry, I can't believe from what they have said and done we would be better off with them. |

Bush Jr. will go down in history as the worst U.S. president ever. No one will ever surpass him in this dubious distinction. "Disastrous" does not begin to describe it. The lead-filled asses of his dead-end supporters such as you are nothing but a further drag on America.

Denis, I agree with what you have said. The country was in good shape economically, and the world was reasonably stable.
But 9/11 did quite a bit to both the economic environment, and world stability. It isn't enough to say that Gore or Kerry would have been "ineffectual." Ineffectual suggests they could have coasted through a presidency doing nothing. But with 9/11, they would have had to have some kind of reaction. What that reaction would have been, and what the outcome would have been, it pretty interesting to speculate on. That would be an interesting discussion. I have really no idea what they would have done, although I do think that neither of them would have invaded Iraq. That just seemed so random, and the idea of people around Bush at the time (who have now fled the scene). |

GW inherited a major problem, not at all what you describe. I think it cost a lot to play the game in someone else's field, but still better than playing it in our own. Stable only because the previous President refused to believe anything else. As far as history, I still believe it will treat GW much better than the current bashers will like or expect. Speeder "The lead-filled asses of his dead-end supporters such as you are nothing but a further drag on America." Funny, that is what I think about all you bashers of GW. I would guess Algor and Kerry are very happy they lost, they couldn't have handled this pressure even as good as GW. We would be using prayer rugs by now with their apologist kiss but attitude. |
