Perverted cats are a bit strange. yes, I had that too. They do seem a bit pissed that they've been nutered and can't seem to forget the urge.

Get one of those roller tape dodads they're sweet and the hair disappears like a charm!

. I live in a "dog house" (my 14 year old lab has me very well trained by now), but the furniture and bed are off limits. She's never even tried to get on either as she's never (since 7 weeks old when I brought her home) "learned" that it's OK in the first place. Hint, don't sit on the sofa with your cute puppy, etc. as they're learning what is acceptable behavior from day one.

HardDrive,
Q: What's the difference between an UGLY women and a GOOD looking women?

A: Whether your friends see her or not.

When I was young, single and needed some trim you could find a dog in my bed.

Now I'm married, older and own two Pugs.

Love dogs but they stay in the garage in the summer and the mud room in winter. We use this type of gate, they like the fact they can see though it.

My dog has her favorite chair but thats it. I keep her off of the bed because putting my face down into a fur covered pillow(hmmm fantasizing now about the obvious exception) would piss me off. Besides the old girl can barely make it upstairs let alone up onto the bed.

Cats are fine on the bed (they're 99% indoor so very clean anyway, plus we brush a lot). If I had a dog, I probably wouldn't allow the dog on the bed since dogs tend to be outside a lot more, I guess it kind of depends.

I'm with 911 Rob in that I'll never have an idiot box (TV) in my bedroom. Ever. I don't have a phone in there either.

The dumped (at that time) puppy my wife took pity on has never tried getting on our bed. Couches she'll go for. 75% of her life is spent outside or in the basement at night. The two cats occasionaly will be on the bed but 95% of the time they're outside also.

This is nothing that some obediance training won't solve. I suggest you enroll your wife asap.

Get a veterinary textbook on canine parasites and leave it on her nightstand. Those dirty little trouble-makers will be banned to the garage.

We own one small lap dog, wire fox terrier, with short hair that sheds very little. The wife insists he sleeps on the bed which doesn't bother me all that much. But if I had my way, he would be just as comfy on the floor with his blanket.

So you could now say, "Yes, the dog lets us sleep on his bed."

Yes. Two German Shepard's and two cats. Wouldn't have it any other way.

When I was a kid in Hawaii, I had two black Great Danes who slept on my bed. That was a bit much, but talk about feeling safe.

Nice picture Scott, our two dogs are in love with the couch and we don't have a yard for them to get dirty in. Unfortunately they do get dog hair on everything and I do go crazy sometimes with the hair.

Truth is Scott, it can happen to anyone. This taken a few years ago. The kids were goofing around. Believe it or not, the dog is just a pup there. Now that she's older, she knows better. My wife that is.

Nice looking pups there Scott!
Same goes for the other posters.

I'm pet-less today; but I always introduce my partner as having two kids; it catches him off guard everytime and he'll say, "I only have one kid" and I'll say, "HUH? What about Monty?" (his gigantic labradoodle that owns the house) and he'll reply, "Oh yeah, he is one of the family."

My 'ol dog was the best, loved being in doors and followed me around everywhere, but he always stayed on the floor. Our cat, well we couldn't ever control him, all over the furniture and loved sleeping with the kids. Stayed out of my room though.

Jeff: no phone in the work shop for me either, cheers!

Kodi and Crispers in the day: (both passed on)
