Someone must know something about this. Add-on plate says 1942 but I've not yet seen a personnel carrier this small or open. Is it genuine and/or military?

I've never seen wingtip tanks on a P-51. Is there a hint there that could help in guessing? One of the escorts for B-17s in the European theater? I'm assuming it could also be an escort for part of the Doolittle Raiders' trip to Japan, but it would've had to have flown off an island.

IIRC, they used a belly tank and a big ass cell behind the pilot....all center of mass.

Ding, Ding, Ding, Joe Bob wins a cookie.
Piper PA-48 Enforcer - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia I saw one of the flight test aircraft sitting in the reclamation lot when I worked at Edwards AFB back in '89. Although it didn't look like in the pictures. Last edited by abisel; 07-19-2013 at 01:17 PM.. |

Looks like a giant motor, from a bearcat or a sky raider on a prototype for ground support viet nam era, using a P 51 base
the memory banks tells me I have seen this before, but can't remember the type number ![]()
