I read somewhere in the last year or two that an original Ford GT was lost in one of those California wildfires... it was stored in a locked garage at his home, but the owner was out of town, so there was no way to save it when the fires ran through his neighborhood.



(Not this car... just a reminder of what was lost.)

Its was actually '07 Lime Rock race. It had rained pretty hard on two of the nights before the race, so off track was quite wet. He made a mistake at the exit of two and ended up way out drivers right. I mean way way out. With 4 to go. In '08 we had Montagny and Andretti in the car.

Definately 07. I was there with the Mazda LMP2 team. Our driver went off in the same area.
