RIP...
I know Captain America was the iconic bike from the movie (and there was subsequently quite a tale of intrigue surrounding it after it got stollen post filming), but I always liked Dennis Hopper's bike better. That, and I always wondered how his hat stayed on... ![]() The more observant among you might notice something about the above photo...

My father got the chopper bug after the movie came out and collected a pair of original ‘48 parts bikes. Unfortunately he sold and traded off most of the frames and accessories and built a swing armed freeway cruiser... not my style. I plan on going back to a sprung hardtail with the ‘48 running gear.
