I bet a flat spin in the air is a little scarier than one on the ground though.

It's those crazy rear-engine planes that oversteer right into the ground.

The Soviets purchased and in some cases outright stole pretty much everything since they were so backward in industry since 1917.
Complete factories were purchased, the Li-2 Soviet version of the DC-3 a well known fact. Later, with Lend-Lease, everything and the kitchen sink was thrown in-

Early concessions/technical assistance came from International Harvester, Caterpillar, Ford, it's a very long list.
Indigenous inventions were few, Igor Sikorsky having fled to the US around 1919 as I recall-I also remember reading the Soviets even complained about the Kingcobras they were given-[img]

Not to mention they captured several of our B-29s... and copied them. The Tu-4.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tupolev_Tu-4

They kept modifying the Tu-4, even their current (but old) Bear bomber is little more than a lengthened Tu-4 with swept wings and tail and turboprop engines.

THE OX • OX Global Vehicle Trust

Quote:
The powertrain in the OX prototypes is an ultra-reliable 2.2-litre Ford diesel unit. As technologies develop, it could be switched to an electrical or, for example, hydrogen-powered system. At present, these systems are not easily re-fuelled in the developing world.
The OX is also mentioned in the video link below.
