^^^ I've seen some things in my life, but that has to be the worst design where the primary tubes are 45'd butt-welded to the tube collector. I know that Mopar engineers had some ground-breaking ideas in airflow in and out of the engine in the 50's and early 60's, but that design beats me^^^^^^

Yeah, it's a crazy design. The 90 degree at the end, I think, is just an afterthought to accommodate a street legal muffler system. The A990 was one of those homologation lightweight race cars not designed for the street. Sure does sound the part ...
