As far as I know, those multi-engined dragsters were just to put on a show for the crowd, like the wheel-standers. With the extra weight, I don't think they could've generated very low E.T.'s... they just smoked the tires most of the way down the strip. Here's one with 4 engines and two diffs:

Video showing a run... lots of smoke: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AiR8y7BmDug

Surprisingly, the tires didn't smoke as far down the strip as expected. Huge parachute to stop it.

"Four, yes count 'em, FOUR 454 cubic inch Nailheads!!! 32 cylinders pumping out 1720 horsepower... at 3555 lbs this four wheel drive car clawed the strip with 4 M&H 9.00X15.00 slicks, covering the quarter at over 170 mph in 9.14!"

That skater on the roller coaster is not gonna have enough mass to get himself very far.

He needs some means of propulsion.

Perhaps Wile E. Coyote can be his propulsion consultant... or at least lend him the ACME catalog.
