Yup...I'd recommend a trip to the EAA Airventure for folks upset about $3/gallon fuel. This year folks were running a private Sea Harrier, an F4, a Russian Flanker and several other military jets...not to mention the various other piston warbirds. Trying to figure out hourly rates to run such stuff made my head hurt.

I'm 99% certain that is the Mercedes-Benz test track at Papenburg. I had the crap scared out of me there a few years ago—that's why it looks very familiar.

Those photos look pretty cool. I'm partial to the one beside the CF/18A. All Canadian fighters (I'm not happy to say, somewhat out-of-date F/A-18A's) carry the 'camouflage canopy' painted on the underside of the fuselage. The theory being, it might prove to be some distraction to an attacker in a 'furrball' situation.The Abbotsford Airshow is on this weekend, so we'll get to see these & some newer models of American airpower putting on a few smoke & thunder routines. Like I said, cool shots.

my camera was glitching so the sky is pink and the clouds are blue and resolution is not even close to what it is normally. what you can not see is the 3 guards with m16's that are mad dogging me for being a little close. lol I got a talk after the couple pics.
I kind of knew a guy who knows a guy that said it was ok.
