Had three of these when I was 15. They are much more show than go.
After breaking the third frame, where the down tube meets the crank, the bike shop gave me a non-shock bike.

I collect bikes on and off, springers, anything banana seat if the price is right. But I still don't understand paying 500 -1000 plus for a bikes an adult just should not ride anymore. I remember spending 180 on a springer stringray, then bring it home thinking, oh great now what. Lucky my kid was still young enough to ride it. It sitting in the basement wanting for grand kids. But ever since I never pay over a 100 bucks for a older bike.......Of course, that would be different if I stumbled on a some rarer type, but that has just not happen yet. |

Fenders are wrong, plus OY used different carbs. These are the carbs on OY:
![]() The arm to the boost pump looks more like a Rochester to me, but I can't be sure. Exhaust definately looks like nail-head buick (to me).

![]() "Zaeta believes the finished street bike will weigh roughly 250 pounds! If you have ridden a modern 450cc motocross bike (weighing in at roughly 225 pounds), then you have some idea of what this Zaeta is capable of . . . such as third gear, clutchless power wheelies. Things you can only get from ultra light weight combined with the huge torque of a big, modern, four-valve single. Nothing quite like it, actually."

![]() "The model is called Wunderlich S1000 RR “Mad Max” and - as the name unmistakably suggests - is a special rendition of the awesome BMW S1000RR inspired by the classic Mad Max sci-fi movie trilogy of the late 70s-early 80s, starring a very young Mel Gibson. "

It is number 2 and here is another pict of it at the HSR West race in Palm Springs. Here is also a pict of the first one at the CA Speedway race.

Interesting. The 2009 Road and Track article said that four webbers are the current configuration.

![]() I guess the owner changed it back. Looks like some other significant changes were also made. I guess that happens with race-cars, though. Of course, I guess it's also possible that R&T could have slipped in the wrong photo. I don't see any fenders in this photo, and it looks like the engine is in a black car.
