I noticed that too. Even the old Beetle would be cool. Me thinks that 510 wagon is an early one too. Maybe a '69.

I got the wild hair last spring and got a '71 510 hot rod.

Vintage Aero Flying Museum
Hey Brown 747, I see that you are in Washington. There is an excellent early aviation museum in hood river . It features many very early examples of one off development models and most are in flying condition , a complete restoration shop on site. It also has collections of vintage cars and motorcycles.
Really worth a visit!

They host a fun car show in the early summer, and make the entire facility available to visitors.

Would be really interested to read about your impressions as I'm keenly interested in the 510/giulia/2002/Rxn's scene!

Still do as far as I know.

Wonder if that's the first flight of the B-47?

Clearance issue between carbs and the brake master cylinder. Longer horns won't fit. If I could find a shorter intake manifold, then I could install longer horns.

Having owned a couple 510s in the past, I can only talk to them. Kinda like driving a big go-kart.

If you can find a 510 2-door with very little rust, do it. And let the fun begin. Not as expensive as the Porsche, but it can be depending on what you do to it.

Soviet G-5 Motor Torpedo Boat
Soviet G-5 Motor Torpedo Boat in 1/35... - Kits

Quote:
It carried 2 torpedoes in troughs at the stern of the boat, which were launched by being pushed out of the back while connected by a wire, then as the boat turned away the wire was pulled out and the motors started, giving the boat time to turn out of the way. Difficult to aim the torpedoes then so accuracy was a bit hit and miss. In fact they were credited with only a small number of sinkings during the war, though they served on and some were even sold after the war to countries including Spain and Korea........................

The top speed of these boats is given as 53 knots (that is about 61mph)

Close, but wrong end of history. B47 sn 52-166 may have made the last flight of a B 47 in 1986 when it was flown to Castle AFB where it was placed on display.
