Just mounted two new rear tires on a 420E cat backhoe. Tires went on the wheels easy enough but getting them to blow up was a chore. Finally got the first one by packing grease around the bead. The second one i said F it and put a tube in it.

Auf der Internationalen Automobil-Ausstellung in Frankfurt am Main wird auch das vom Bundesministerium für Forschung und Technologie geförderte Auto 2000 gezeigt. Der Dreizylinder-Dieselmotor mit Direkteinspritzung, Turbolader und 45 PS Leistung benötigt bei einer Geschwindigkeit von 120 Stundenkilometern nur 4,1 Liter Dieselkraftstoff auf 100 Kilometer. Mit dieser Studie leistet Volkswagen einen Beitrag zur Ökologiedebatte, die das Energiesparen und die Reduzierung der Umweltbelastungen zur politischen Gestaltungsaufgabe macht.

Der Sharan, die neue Großraumlimousine von Volkswagen, feiert in Genf Weltpremiere. Positioniert zwischen Passat Variant und der Caravelle, bietet der Sharan viel Platz für bis zu sieben Personen. Mit seinem One-Box-Design und der glatten Karosserielinie besitzt das Multi Purpose Vehicle einen vorbildlich niedrigen cw-Wert von 0,33. Die Sicherheitsfeatures, darunter Seitenverstärkungen, Gurtstraffer, Doppel-Airbags und eine verwindungssteife Karosserie, machen den Sharan ebenso hochwertig wie die Spitzenmotorisierung mit dem VR6-Motor und 128 kW/174 PS Leistung, der den Wagen auf eine Spitzengeschwindigkeit von 200 Stundenkilometern bringt. Sparfüchse benötigen mit den 66 kW/90 PS-Dieselmotor bei konstant 90 Stundenkilometern nur 4,9 Liter Dieselkraftstoff auf 100 Kilometer. Gebaut in der gemeinsam mit Ford errichteten Fabrik im portugiesischen Palmela, ist der komfortable Reisebegleiter ab 41 950 DM zu haben. Die Markteinführung erfolgt am 22. September 1995.
