Well, there is doubt if that's what actually happened but even if so, how did that benefit the USA?

Iraq could possibly have been a threat to some of the nations in the Middle East but never in a 100 years to the USA.

And we get what in return................................

From what I can gather, 2.7 Billion in 2005. population about 7.1 million. Equals $360 per capita in US aid for that year alone. Doesn't sound like a lot does it? Consider that for a family of four that almost $1,500 per family of US tax dollars that go to Israel. BTW, that's only the $ "On the Books". Last year, I paid more in state and federal income taxes than the average American family of four even earns! Remember that $1,200 tax rebates they're talking about? Well I make too much and won't get an effing dime, cause some yitzak in Israel is getting it.

Image what we could do for our own Americans if we spent this on our poor, handicap and kids... We might actually address some of our most pressing issues....

Since I am not a big fan of how Isreal relates to others in the region and how they interpret what they "are entitled to as a state" that was created for them after WWII, I do not think the US should be supporting them, any more.
At least we as a country should vote on this one every few years...

You sound just like one of my sons...except that he's even more since he has three daughters and misses out on that $900 bucks also!

But seriously, it is a crime how we support Israel regardless of what they do and the actual harm Israel has caused the USA over the years. Even some of my Jewish friends agree with me on that subject.

Well, he is certainly not representative of most of the Jews that I have met. They are naturally often fixated on money but they are not bad people for the most part.

But our national policy toward the State of Israel is nothing short of insane. Try to think when was the last time you heard a member of Congress (from either party) ever even suggest anything bad about Israel? Are they that scared or are they bought?
