I'm afraid that if I install a bunch of solar cells the enviro-wackos will burn my house down

I wish there was a way that one could do solar and not have to search for the government rebates, etc.
My neighbor had to do a ton of research and legwork when getting his solar. It shouldn't be that hard. (You would think the power companies would assist, or there was a solar resource to contact that would help). I live in the Sunshine state, I can't believe there isn't a bigger push.

in actuality it is fairly simple. place collector where winter/summer sun most avail. then figure out plumb lines. buy collector(family-4)=80 gallons water + 80 gallon water heater. passive or active. passive means you dont touch it at all during freeze(like mine). or active you utilize grundfoss electric pump to circulate with a thermostat in event of freeze.
solar company hands over all fed/state documentation for submittal to fed/state for tax break/rebate. simple except yer plumbing and that depends on length of run/pitch of roof, distance from collector to water heater. more collectors you have the longer hot shower/bath you can take! more collectors you have and the more batteries, the more power you can store and then backcharge local electric company ie. sell them electricity! and get paid by them! |

NE Indiana has more clouds than sun, but we went with geothermal heat and cooling, even our hot water is geothermal.
Price was not cheap we got the contractor price (New house) and still it was $18,000 for the unit and hardware, plus $10,000 for a pond. They tell me it will pay for itself.

Chuck,
I just got some small solar panels and going to wire them up to the effect lights in the back yard. Going to dip my foot in the water and play with it for a bit, then prolly do the heated pool followed by the water heater. With the sun around here its silly not to... Joe

joe i am at work right now despite my mouth hurting to high hell and my stomach doing flip flops from pain killers and antibotics. anyway since i can still function heres who can get you some freight damged or customer refusal collectors. or new juans or install. when you install and file, remember to keep yer tax documents. feds and state audited me for the solar tax credits 7 years to the date almost, and i had to cough up documents which i kept thank god. i guess its a big scam for people to declare solar improvements and actually not do so and take credit.
