All right folks, so you're probably going to need to help set me straight on this, but there were a couple of interesting presentations at the armor conference regarding nano-fibers -- particularly the construction of carbon fiber nano-tubes in a lab environment.

The impact on the body armor industry if this technology could be produced on a large scale is huge. One of my body armor buds told me if fully realized, "a big football player could flip a tank over" that's made out of the stuff.

There is nothing wrong with the HUMVEE that a hybrid motor install couldn't fix. The Scout variants have always been armored, btw. We called them "Slammers". Of course only light motor units would be using Hummer scouts to begin with. Heavy units use Bradley CFV's and M1A2 Abrams in the scouting role.

WRT a flippable M-1, the engine and trans alone would make that feat impossible, but yeah, armor is by far the heaviest thing on a MBT. It could take a 70 ton Abrams down to maybe 45-50. I bet the tank would cost 5x as much though, and Abrams aint cheap to begin with.

Did you also notice that most who are jumping are military or former??? Notice that he choose to bump it today, a day that we honor those who served and he slaps them in the face. If he tried to pass his BS & charts to people who honorable serve and have been there, they would tell him to F off

I think a person can feel deep and true respect, compassion and patriotism for the fighting troops - and still be questioning the politics behind the war. Which is what I thought Kach was doing. But hey, what do I know. Being a durn forner and all.

I'm a veteran, and i think Iraq is a disaster. I know lots of veterans and active duty soldiers, from the rank of E-1 to O-5 that agree with me.

If we want to honor these men, let's get them home to their families. The 7 tours some of these troops have served is enough...

If the plan is to stay until the fighting stops, it will never stop, and we will never leave. We are the primary catalyst for the continuing fighting, and we will be for as long as we're there.

We must be catalyzing without even being present in the rest of the muslim world 'cause they seem to be blowing stuff up pretty much wherever they are.
