Coaches Poll Out

1. Georgia (22) 0-0 1,438
2. USC (14) 0-0 1,430
3. Ohio State (14) 0-0 1,392
4. Oklahoma (3) 0-0 1,329
5. Florida (5) 0-0 1,293
6. LSU (3) 0-0 1,163
7. Missouri 0-0 1,143
8. West Virginia 0-0 1,008
9. Clemson 0-0 999
10. Texas 0-0 979
11. Auburn 0-0 888
12. Wisconsin 0-0 747
13. Kansas 0-0 714
14. Texas Tech 0-0 644
15. Virginia Tech 0-0 568
16. Arizona State 0-0 560
17. Brigham Young 0-0 547
18. Tennessee 0-0 506
19. Illinois 0-0 422
20. Oregon 0-0 399
21. South Florida 0-0 350
22. Penn State 0-0 313
23. Wake Forest 0-0 203
24. Michigan 0-0 112
25. Fresno State 0-0 91

OSU & USC 2 & 3, I'm shocked, no #1? I wish LSU was #20, motivation, you know. No need to worry about the Tigers though. Hatch is an untested, Matt Mauck type, lunch pail qb. All the Tigers have done with untested, lunch pail type qb's is win 2 of the last 4 National Championships.

For those who forgot, or would like to:

We'll all know come January. Pre season polls usually turn out to be a joke. So Mule? I hope LSU does well...I love your loyalty.

Perrilloux is in Alabama at a JC. The starter is Andrew Hatch, definitely a lunch pail guy. But remember Matt Mauck? Far from impressive, Nat. Champ qb. Word is that he may be sharing time with redshirt freshman Jarrett Lee. Defense is beastly. Despite loosing All World DT Glen Dorsey, D line looks improved. Rickey Jean Francois, Kirsten Pittman, Tyson Jackson and Charles Alexander will have knees knocking across the line every Saturday.

Seems like everyone has a poll nowadays. Most of em I've seen so far have USC in third or 4th, LSU 2nd and OSU at the top but I kinda like this one better

too many things change during the season to put much stock in these things like injuries and upsets, all we can do is watch and try to enjoy the games. That might be hard for me unless Sanchez steps up and does better than I expect him to. I kinda think #3 is a bit optimistic for USC this year but I hope I'm wrong. I usually am when it comes to predicting college football, I guess that's why they play the games.

Mule, we have very little in common, but one thing is for sure we both love LSU Football. I went to high school right at campus, I am sure you have seen my old high school. Great place to go to school at.

Nat champ game:
Georgia vs. USC

Georgia wins by ten.

I know I have some USC fan friends here, but USC has some work to do before they are mentioned in the same breath as the SEC. They don't even have a 1peat. The trophy for the championship they claim is in the case at LSU. Georgia could rest Uga the last quarter & win by 10. What the Bulldogs have to figure out is how to keep Noshawn Marino alive on Saturday night here:

Rick, my wife and daughter graduated from Tech. My brother, his wife and son all Texas grads, and my son will be a sophomore there this year. We love to hate on A&M. It is so easy to do. They've had Texas # the last couple of years I realize but what is their problem with Tech anymore? I work with a bunch of A&M grads and they lay pretty low now days. I am a Kansas ex and we get the entire flavor. My sil is an OSU grad, and now in med school at OU so we pretty much cover the north south big 12. Looking forward to the season.

Come on dude, let's not slam at least until we get closer to the bowl games.
SEC is good. PAC 10 is good. LSU is good. USC is good. One is better than the other.
We can have fun talking about college football without the smack, but as soon as we start that it stops being fun and get all pissy.

Sammy, 3 out of the last 4 Nat Championships to the SEC, 100 more NFL players than the next closest conference, 4 teams in the top 11. It's not a surprise to anybody any more. USC is a good team. The SEC is the dominant conference in college football today.

DD, did you not see the only remaining undefeated team going into a bowl?

Yup, that was Hawaii at the Sugar Bowl.

Tech used to be the forgotten little brother to A&M. When I was there (90-94), we were the class of the SWC and beat up on Tech regularly. Then they got that Leach guy in there while RC Slocum kept running his tired old schemes. Pretty soon the little brother grew up.

Now I just chalk up Tech as a loss every year until they prove they can beat that stupid team.

At least they stopped throwing tortillas.

I was at the game and will tell you that Hawaii hadn't had their as kicked that bad since Pearl Harbor.

Hawaii shouldn't even have been on the field. We should have been watching USC vs Georgia however Keith Jackson wouldn't have known what to say had his Trojans not been in the "Grandaddy of them all"

Yeah well we have a dance team (that is all female) AND cheerleaders. Beat that. Oh and we had a nice little 35 game win streak at one point. This year we are taking out Michigan and next year is OSU. in '13 its going to be Florida.
