I was adding personally I think supporting people like Ayaan Hirsi Ali is a first step and then thought better of pointing the ruler back at Matt and so deleted the post. |

Don't ever point a loaded ruler at someone.
 Steve, I do see your point, but surely you also see mine. The fact that things like this are legal and accepted in Islamic society is an insight into the "morals" of the culture.

yep, no issue there Matt.
This has been going on for centuries and has not changed, nor will it by force or some sort of US sanctions. Like soviet style communism, it will fall of its own accord as more of them experience the freedoms we take for granted. |

Steve, that's what I hope for as well. The Islamic family across the street from me has a teenage daughter that dresses and acts like any American teen. Their teenage son annoys me with his pimped out Sunfire, complete with fart can and subwoofers. Despite the "Praise Allah" sticker on the back of their van, they're more or less like any other American family. Now if they'd just paint their house and mow their damn yard.
 Compared to Sharia Islam, maybe American Islam is Islam-Lite?
