IIRC the restriction on short sales was just on financials.
Have they re-implemented the uptick rule yet? That'd help. Surprised that hasn't come up yet.

Thanks for clearing that up... was not sure of that. I don't think the uptick rule has been re-implemented. Yes, that would help...

Is GM worth a gamble now? Buy @5 today, sell at $15 in a few years?

I'm thinking GM goes the route of Studebaker.

Nice 1954 pics. Probably the pinnacle of GM design during the 50's. Harley Earle was never better.

Steven:
Yes I have. It is a big reason they went from over 50% in their heyday to where they are now. Their late 70's, 80's and early 90's models were abysmal. No argument there. They lost market shere the old fashioned way, they earned it. It will take a decade or more to change opnion of the motoring public. You need to have the products we want. Outside of a few models, I find many of the Japanese and Korean models suffer from the same blandness. Yes the Civic and Camery are great cars; but they do nothing for me in terms of style. I'm still of the school that a car needs to look good as well as run good. I'm not ready to accept the notion the no American auto industry is good for this country.

The Disney stock is down right now, 22.XX versus a 52 week high of 38.XX. Disney currently has a market capitalization that is around $60B now and was as high as $90B. Hard to believe Disney is worth even in today's market 30 to 45 times what Ford and GM are worth.

Disney makes products people actually want.
