I'm in the middle of repainting my Sportster. Just sprayed the frame. Basecoat of Guards Red with 4 coats of clear over it. Tins will be the same color. ( Had a quart left over from my 944 respray)

Shaping up nicely Bell! Are you going to do anything with the remainder of frame sticking out the back?

Vin..... that frame is stunning! (much too nice for a Harley )

Yes. I'm going to cut it to where I can still put on the factory seat should i ever need a passenger or if I sell it, just beneath the rear support.

Bell, that seat came out great! What are you going to use for padding and covering?

I haven't decided on material yet.......I have everything under the sun at the shop, but am thinking of hitting goodwill and finding a nice looking worn leather jacket to cut up , a co-worker keeps insisting I use this piece of white ostrich he's been holding onto for a while LOL

The material will be secured to the hump via buttons and stapled under the sides and the front, the padding is simple foam which will be shaved and fit so the top surface will be flat.

I like the guards red on the harley......what's the rest going to look like ?

red paint is on.......monday i'll paint the knee detents flat black, then clear everything. it's not perfect but anything is better than cletus' paint job

also getting ready to adjust the valves and coincidentally my 911 feeler guage tool works perfectly and all the extra blades i had for it are the correct size/spec
