Garage
i'm not doing the whole house in one go, Jim... just little bit's along the way...

just did some finishing work on the doubleglazing they installed this week.

i'm not going to win any prizes, but it'll do for now...

the front will get done in a couple of years, gotta balance my budget between gathering parts for the future 911, and the house..

Looks good...I'm in the same boat. Being a broke barrister and a cheap bastage to boot, I have to do my reno's/improvements as fund and bargains allow. E.g., I snagged $3600 worth of gas cook top and ventahood for $250 at a charity auction and installed it myself save for some plumbing of gas lines which I bartered out with my contractor buddy in exchange for representing his son in an aggravated assault case. Fortunately we won and the gas lines aren't leaking.

We're doing inexpensive projects at present such as painting. Still shopping for deals on counter tops/cabinets. I like quality materials but hate the exorbitant pricing.

Didn't you do some garage work to start with?

Garage
i initially thought about building a work bench, but ended up buying 2 1.5 meter pre-built benches...
Other then that, not much done to the garage.

spent my time putting in a roof window , insulating, and building a shower..
it's functional, but need to get it finished cosmetically...

Realistically, i'm not good at finishing things, cosmetically
And can't be arsed to pay somebody to make things prettier...
I don't think that will change, not until i have a 911 with running engine
I have no wife or gf... so i have nobody setting my priorities straight with important things...
No nagging either when something isn't finished on target, or according to some kind of interior design plan
