High-glamour, the kind that takes a bunch of time and a dozen jars of paint and chemicals, no longer impresses me. Faces with little or no make-up, but filled with joy, are WAY WAY more attractive. I prefer less hair rather than more, but consider hair-taming efforts a bonus rather than an expectation. Lately, I've been helping and it's pretty darned fun. She never shaves. She plucks and waxes. She's definitely a hippie chick and sometimes there's fuzz but by the time we get to the James Cotton concert tomorrow night, she will be smooth as a baby's bottom. I'll have trouble concentrating on the concert.

Again, these matters I consider bonus activities. In the hierarchy of things that make a woman desirable, hair removal ranks poorly. Values and attitude head the list, followed by things such as availability and responsiveness, if you know what I mean. I am a very lucky man. I've got my own squeaky toy.

Yeah, too much McDonalds and other crap fast food. And these days, if it's not fast food, it's frozen food that you just pop in the microwave for 2 minutes. That combo makes lots of fat folks.

Some places seem worse than others. Texas is full of fat bastards. During my short trip to NYC, it seems that all of the walking helps keep weight down, same for San Francisco.

May have something to do with the air brushed images of celebrities plastered every where in our culture.

My 23yo daughter doesn't shave her arms (really fine thin blond hair) but did once mention when she was in high school that lots of other girls her age were. I think it must be a generation thing.

I also knew a girl from Palestine that was similar. She waxed her arms as well as other things.

Yes, I prefer less hair to more, but it's not a deal killer.

You got that right! And it ain't just the women. It was on the news not long ago that Disney has to rebuild the "It's a Small World" boats that run on tracks because people have gotten so fat the boats can no longer bear the weight; they're also making them wider.

Increase of diabetes is/has become a serious concern. Perhaps most tragic is the number of fat children we have.

My wife and I spent 3 months kicking around Europe after grad school years ago. I'll never forget - when we returned to LAX we were walking through the terminal and at one point we looked at each other and she asked, "Is it my imagination?". "I don't think so. How could everyone have gotten so fat in just 3 months?"

Funny, we didn't realize how thin Europeans are until we came back and saw how fat Americans are. That was last century and this nation has been growing progressively fatter ever since.

Nope. Bad assumption. In the case of my lady friend, "down below" is always meticulously plucked, even when there is a need for plucking and waxing elsewhere.

Stereotypes and assumptions.....get in the way of really understanding your world.

I don't care, full bush if necessary. But we need the pictures to properly judge.

The guys shave their legs because if you crash the hairs wont infect the wound.

Just tell your buddies you don't shave your legs because you don't plan on crashing.
Then make sure you don't, or you'll never hear the end of it.

If that were true, then cyclists should shave arms, and backs and legs all the way up, etc.

It is peer pressure, everything else is excuse.

no kidding?
hot chicks can pull off anything. why cut off even the smallest piece of the pie when it comes to "doable" chicks?. the odds suck enough as it is.

i dont love the fur, but no where near a deal breaker for me. now bad breath? party over.

Well, hair is natural; stink and bad teeth are the result of neglect. Not arguing with anyone's personal preferences, but the ideal image is created by the culture it exists in.

Were we living in Rembrandt's day, when only the wealthy aristocrats were well fed, we'd be lusting after womwn who conformed to the ideal image of that time - like Danae.

Waiting now for replies of "I'd hit it!"

True, and some of the women (art subjects) looked more like dudes with breasts.

One could argue that untamed hair is neglect as well. By bad teeth I meant snaggle puss which is natural too. So braces are to teeth as trimming is to hair imo. Stink is an umbrella term - covers bad hygiene orally or otherwise.

I am aware of the cultural diffrerences. Was Rubenesque ever good? An interesting study done on Pygmies where men were shown sillouettes of women. They all favored the same basic thing we do - curvy babe types. Not exactly sure what that proves I guess. But, the silouettes were hairless for sure.
