[QUOTE=stealthn;10779937]I don't steal so I have no problem with that

Me neither...
It's too bad that everyone has to pay for the actions of a very few.

wow, old thread.

Thankfully I do not work in the retail vertical market as much anymore.

The number of self checkouts is creeping up everywhere, i could not tell you the last time I was in a WM. F them.

Yeah but how cool would it be to get paid to stand there and just watch the customers at the self-checkouts do your job for you?
That guy's got it made ;)

So, they were stealing a whole cart of groceries and thats why they ask for the receipt at Walmart. That person should have been arrested.

Not correct. I always pay for all I am taking but I just don't want to hassle with a 70-80 year old who can barely read stare at my receipt for 5 minutes (have had it happen). They have me on video scanning the items, they have a video of me leaving the store. If you think I'm stealing then have me arrested and I'll see you in court.

So you think they left a basket of stuff after paying for it ?

At Menards lumber yards the check your receipt when you go in and they check the receipt and the load in your truck when you leave.

if the ask for a receipt just start coughing and flail your arms while coughing all over the receipt - stick a hand on your forehead and yell "it's burnin' hot!"

then tell them I don't feel so good - but here it is...

OK, missed the part that they left the cart with the stuff. That said, I don't give a receipt but I'm not stealing anything.

I do not care for a lot of things they do at Walmart but they are the only/best game in town. Its another 5 miles or so to the Target.

I don't show it. I tell them no and keep walking. If they're that distrustful of their paying customers. **** them. If you think I stole the stuff. Good. Tackle me in the parking lot (which Wal-Mart has been known to do), catch a bullet from me, and see you in court.

That's pretty much anywhere with bulk/large items. They do that to make sure you received the right product. Unlike Wal-Mart where it's meant to catch thieves. Which happens to be you as you're being profiled and being asked for proof of purchase...

I don't have any problem with someone asking, and me showing my receipt when I exit. I wish every store would do this. I have a real problem of cashiers not asking to see a ID when I'm buying expensive stuff. THAT would cut down the loss greatly. It's a open invitation to steal and the thugs know it. Remember, all these losses are made up by trusting folks like you and me in higher prices.

There's a good reason to just not go at all. We've had the one shooting in Wally last year and now some wild west cat is gonna open up out in the parking lot.

Way to fooking go.

Pls. There's YouTube videos of walmart security jumping people in the parking lot and getting stabbed.

You mean Menards would not suspect anyone of throwing in a few extras, but Walmart checks to see if you’re a thief? Them bastages!!!

Arizona_928 03-12-2020 04:43 PM

Don't have Menards locally. But I give the homedepot my receipt and let them load all the crap. They often throw in a few extra bricks, cement bags, and what not. Prolly bc the poor guy can't count and would rather be over than under.
