There was your chance to say something, without looking like a crybaby. The boss may even have needed your negative feedback to add you to the list of people that have issues. You may have actively prolonged your suffering.

That said, go back to your boss and tell him you underestimated the pain in the butt this guy is going to be and that there are indeed issues. Be precise in what you describe and don't get emotional. This will undo some of the damage done earlier.

The guy you are having issues with likely is a bully. I have had good experiences with taking guys like this aside and telling them straight to their face that they need to back off, treat me with respect and things will work out very smoothly for both parties. All bullies will cave in if you push back in a friendly but firm manner. They will find themselves another person to bully around.
