I use my Keens as warm weather fishing shoes, beats the heck out of boots and neoprene socks. I can understand that Crocs are comfortable, but so are kilts and I won't be wearing either anytime soon.

So the "Keen" website says the shoes run 1/2 size small. That NEVER works for me. I'm a size 13. They don't make 13-1/2. Pretty sure 14 would be too big. Any thoughts Superman? Craigster?

I've run through two pairs of Keens...great gear.
A few things I am always going to wear, age and "dork-o-meter" be dammed: 501's Pocket T's Carhart canvas shorts Boat shoes with no socks As you were.

I've found them to run a bit large, some people like them with socks. If you're a 13, get a 13. Also, the nylon webbed style (H2?) has a bit of give when wet. You'll love them for warm weather flyfishing shoes.

I know I am a dork, but I have both Crocs and Keens. They are both very comfortable. I have used both for warm water fishing duties.
The crocs are more comfortable than the keens, but the keens are better for more rigorous activities. Crocs are great for walking, lounging, etc.. While the keens are for hiking, biking, wading, and other more active stuff. I wouldn't want to give up either. And all you haters should get over yourselves and try the crocs. You won't regret it.

I just tossed a pair of Crocs. I didn't like them with or w/o socks and with or w/o the strap. You can't say I didn't try. I have been sort of interested in the clogs favored by chefs, but never tried any on.

I bought my kids Keens last week and they love them. I ordered both pairs a size larger than normal and they fit fine, of course with the rapid pace of feet growth, bigger is better.
I used to wear birks - can't stand them any longer with the modern shoes now available. I wear some speedo flip flops that are awesome as well as Merrill sandals with straps for the adventure stuff. Might order some Keens for myself although I have to admit, once I get home from work, flipping and flopping seems to be the shoe of choice.

Forgot to mention - I let my Birks in the car years ago and the soles shruck - had to have a cobbler replace the bottom.
I don't let my kids wear crocs any longer - they were constantly falling down in them and coming in the house with bloody knees. Keens have fixed that issue.

I have a pair of Keen's but I seem to always get a little pebble in the toe area so I don't wear them much.
I just got a pair of Croc's but I'm not convinced yet. For now I'll stick with my Teva or Merrill sandles.

I have never gone the "Croc" route. Mario Batali from Iron Chefs wears them. I wear Keens for my work shoes. Love em!

I have several pairs of Havaianas... super cheap and comfy. Definitely not classy, though!

My wife and I love our Keens. I can wear them at the track because they have a toe covering (toe cap). They are very comfortable and lightweight.

Must be our generation - that descibes my (non-work) wardrobe to a tee, if you substitute "Chuck Taylors" for "boat shoes".

What your son said.
Those shoes have become the most popular foot wear in hospitals here in Sweden too. I have however not yet succumbed to that fashion. IŽd rather stick with my traditional white wooden clogs (not my red racing clogs, mind you).

Boat shoes rock!! I wore them daily when younger. I have a pair of Sperry top siders but they have a heavier sole than I wear most days anymore.
I do not like crocs but I'm going to ask anyway. Do any of you guys wearing them have foot pain that they HELP? Since I broke my foot I have constant pain.
