Well, I have no doubt a 1973 Porsche with MFI and no smog control to speak of, will be less environmentally friendly than a 2003 996. Yet again, the '73 is a smaller car, takes up less room, uses smaller tires, weighs less... I can go on and on and on with examples of how consumers can avoid supporting unions (ooops, did I write that?  )
