bigchillcar go bye bye..
..for a couple years. howdy, fellas..
![]() gosh, it's been so long since my last post..a year maybe? i could do a search, but honestly too foggy to remember. i hope that everyone is doing well..i'd like to know if there have been any major changes, happenings..hopefully no deaths..that i don't know about. i've had a very, very hard year with some health issues. i'm not so quick to discuss them so frankly, as support attitudes very widely depending upon with whom i'm speaking. i'm hardly 100%, maybe about 50%..hopefully the little trend can maintain itself. for those of you who know me, i appreciate your support..and those of my friends who have been good friends and tried to contact me, and i didn't get back, please forgive me..my tendency to isolate this past year went far beyond anything i've ever done..and i'm still struggling with that. if you e-mailed, phoned..it was noticed and thank you again. i hope i'm not boring with all this drivel..just feels nice to make a post after so long..and appreciate ya'll indulging me for a paragraph. i do and have missed this community. oddly enough, after so very long, i almost feel shy posting. ![]() bigchillcar goes bye bye means my car is about to be listed for sale. to be frank, i just haven't had the heart and passion as an enthusiast that i had in even the recent past. i loved joining up here 7 or 8 years ago, learning about the cars, particularly my middie, my first 'bigchillcar', and three years ago selling and buying the 964 cab i've loved. i learned an awful lot about the cars over these years and met more truly great people than i could possibly ever hope to count..most electronically only, some in person..good times..ya'll driving through little rock and stopping in, couple sleepovers..and some tough..warren's funeral in texas. those of you others who are pelican vets here understand all of this without explanation. for new members, you'll quickly learn it's a special place, with great, often extraordinary members. i'm always going off on a tangent...anyway, i'm going to list the car for sale. in a couple years i think i'd like to return to the earlier roots..another middie project or an early car..even a 356..really, the less modern the better..guess i'll eventually have gone full circle. i've already bought a new car, while i keep the bigchillcar nicely garaged. it's an '06 and the air works..lol. i'm not a sell-out..just gettin' old..haha. and i still have my old toyota 4x4 when i need to feel edgy.. send me a hello if you get the time to read this thread. these days, i'm still far better at getting back with email. i hope that can change in the nearer future. always thinking about you guys..i'd list you, but there's just too many of you great guys. ![]() best, ryan

Not much change. Fast Pat is still gone.
The same ol' jerks of yore are here. Nostatic is gone for the most part. Some folks have asked about you on the OT forum.Take care. (I think I know how you feel about the cars.) Hope your health continues to improve. Sounds like it is. |

Ryan, you can count on a friend in Oregon...be well, okay?
Kind of funny, in a weird way...when Milt posted he was thinking of hanging it up here, it made me wonder why I'm still hanging around, now that I "left the church" of Porsche worship.

Ryan
Sorry to hear things aren't yet 100%. Hopefully, they'll continue on the upward path. Drop in occasionally while you're taking care of the more important stuff.

Ryan:
Sorry t hear that you are not feeling 100%. I hope you are on the path of changing that. I admire you for being so open in the past. Certainly, sharing your struggles helped many, many Pelicanites. Hang tough Ryan. Mike |

Welcome back, and I hope you can get back to 100% soon. On a lighter note, what is the 2006 new car?
