Great to see you here, Ryan. I'm in MN. for the summer and thought of you on the road trip here because of your amazing hospitality when I passed through your town a couple years ago.
Cars come and go, hope that things continue to move in the right direction for you. ![]()

Ryan,
Great to see you post again. Several have asked about you over the past couple of years. Sorry to hear you're not 100%, but glad to hear you're improving and feeling positive about it. Take care of yourself.

Hi Ryan!
Very nice to hear from you again! I am really sorry to read about your situation. I wish you the best, complete recovery from everything that burdens you. You were always one of the truly genuine and nicest person on Pelican. I have had my own personal problems and hence not participated much on Pelican the last months. I can therefore not help you in the update department, but from what I have seen nothing much changes. A lot of new members, but still many of the hard core around. Hope to see you around more in the future! Best,

I am glad your health has improved. I also know that many times when one is ill they do not have the energy nor desire to talk very much. However in many cases it is the support and camaraderie that can help boost our spirits and help facilitate our recovery. So do not be a stranger, stop in and tell us how you are doing, if ever so briefly.

Hey Ryan nice to see you coming around again. Keep up the good work, I know it can seem overwhelming at times but your posting here means there is forward motion.
I hope your keeping somewhat busy, still powerlifting? Hope to see more of your insightful posting.

wow, you guys have put a smile since last night. i didn't expect to get such nice replies and so many..pictures even! i usually know what to say, but mainly thank you for all the positive energy and kindness..it really says more about ya'll than me..this really is a unique community. i'd like to reply to everyone, but gosh there are so many..lol. since i bought a newish car that i know next to nothing about compared to our cars, i joined a forum the other day, but still have felt no desire to post there. i think i've figured out what to do..i'll eventually post some in it to learn a bit, but i'll post here in o.t. for sharing and posting with friends. i wouldn't want that any other way. thanks, fellas..

i don't even own a single car right now, surviving by grace of my employer who gave me a Bmw 118D
(must admit , as far as company cars go, it's not to shabby in terms of driving fun)

Of course there is. I think the people who get burned out on any hobby are those who have immersed themselves much too deeply in it. I see it all the time in my profession. People get so caught up in the aviation scene, that they live it almost 24/7. If they aren't flying, they're thinking about flying, or they're talking about it or reading about it, or arguing about it on some aviation forum. They never step back and get away from it. Balance is critical. I love my cars (and flying, for that matter) but they aren't what I'm about. They don't define me.
Ryan, great to hear from you again after so long. Best wishes to you in your life.
