speaking of work, boss turns 50 in a week, we all chipped in for some Opera tickets.

It's a good thing he got me my xmas present yesterday, else i would have tempted to buy tickets for the upcoming Anthrax tour.

I'm fearing the alternator answer. It's the most expensive/PITA of the three to fix.

I'm also fearing that leak coming off the #4 cylinder. The car doesn't puddle, but I can see it drip after shutting it down. That's new.

Fixing the alternator is easy and not very expensive if you do it yourself. Getting the alternator out of my 85 is not difficult. I just took it to a local rebuilder. It was not much money and it has been fine for 8 years now.

Today is Friday for me. We are closed tomorrow for Christmas. We will likely shut down at lunch time and call it a day today.

I meet up with my buddy that owns the trailer, engine stand & hoist. We will all be happy to see it out of the back of our office. I am very lucky to have this space at work where I could store all that stuff inside and locked up. Now I can park my El Camino back there the next time a hail storm pops up. ;)

Geronimo '74 12-22-2011 05:52 AM

Morning Glen,

early weekend eh... My holiday started Tuesday at noon.
Guess where I am... at the office...
Luckily, I can compensate these days in January.

GH85Carrera 12-22-2011 05:59 AM

I was thinking I could spend most of Friday cleaning up my garage. I want to power wash the floor and get things back to normal in there. I told my wife that I would be off of Friday and she starts planning chores for us to do like go to the grocery store, and pick up the leaves in the yard. :(

svandamme 12-22-2011 06:39 AM

I never tell the wife if i'll be taking the day off.

GH85Carrera 12-22-2011 07:10 AM

Good morning David.

Do you have all your Christmas shopping done?

GH85Carrera 12-22-2011 07:35 AM

What has happened to Markus.
Is he in seclusion writing a new blues tune or maybe an entire new album :)

I sent him some cajun spices, hot sauces and cookbooks early last week. Probably sitting on his bidet:eek:

GH85Carrera 12-22-2011 07:48 AM

That is possible. :)

My mom made chili that was off the scale spicy. It did not burn your mouth or tongue much, but the rest of the digestive path from you throat to the exit would get to enjoy that chili. She won the blue ribbon and gold medal at the State Fair of Oklahoma with that recipe.

When I was a youngun I could eat it with no discomfort. As I got older I had to have some Maalox right after a bowl of that chili. Damn it was good.

I was young when he passed, don't think I ever would have asked that... Its just one of the things my dad says when he sees a flatcap....

My uncle used to be a firefighter, and he worked 16hr shifts. One morning he got started snacking on peppers right out of the jar, and throughout the course of the day ate the whole jar. He told us he learned a lesson that day, your mouth is a hell of a lot tougher than your bunghole....

Morning guys... Looks like there is snow beside the road not too far from here, but it doesn't look like the roads are too bad. We will take it slow and see what we find.

All done and all under wrap. How about you?

livi 12-22-2011 09:00 AM

Hi guys. Been absent lately. Tripped over a bit of pre-christmas depression. Back to basic acoustic guitar.

I'm right there with you and still haven't managed to get over it.

livi 12-22-2011 10:04 AM

Sorry to hear that, Kurt. Its really annoying to feel down, as I really don´t have any reason for it.

Porsche-poor 12-22-2011 10:15 AM

If its a low spot fill it in, if its a igh spot in the road cut it off. Either way no tripping!!!!!!

Flieger 12-22-2011 10:45 AM

Good to have you back Markus! :)
