I didn't say it was healthier, I just said I didn't like the super sweet....

Rick V 01-24-2012 01:18 AM

Morning guys. Do I have to do this again?

porsche4life 01-24-2012 01:29 AM

No, you don't.

Rick V 01-24-2012 01:31 AM

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Thanks Sid, so now I can blame it on you. Lets try it out, sorta of a test run.
Up yours boss man, Sid said I didn't have to...........
Yeah I kinda like the sound of that. :)

Geronimo '74 01-24-2012 01:36 AM

Morning rico, not feeling like working?
I completely understand...

porsche4life 01-24-2012 01:36 AM

I'm curious to see what he says...

Rick V 01-24-2012 01:43 AM

Actually Sid after yesterday my boss is keeping a distance from me. He knows he did me dirty and I am not happy with it. I am not the type to think the place would fall down without me but he knows I bust my hump and should have been treated a little better.

Rick V 01-24-2012 01:43 AM

Morning G

svandamme 01-24-2012 02:02 AM

i booked me a week off from 6/2 till 10/2... to chill out and put up some dry wall and drink some beer.

Rick V 01-24-2012 02:04 AM

Rick V 01-24-2012 02:15 AM

svandamme 01-24-2012 02:15 AM

Well no , in Europe we keep a more logical date format then you lot do

First you say the day, then the month, then the year.

6/2/12 = 6 Februari 2012

Pass...I have become rather fond of my hands

azzarule 01-24-2012 03:30 AM

Evening Gents,

Well today was 'lets take off the fan shroud and alternator and see why they make a funny noise day!'. What a PITA job. Sourced new bearings for the alternator, but having a devil of a time trying to work out the Part Number of the internal regulator, the local gurus of autoelectrics have nothing in their cattledogs so I said just give me a new set of bushes, so off they went with the micron meter thing and then stated that they are a strange size and they don't have them either, sigh.....
Checked PP and they only have Part Numbers for the external regulators, and they will do exchange alternators, sigh. Sometimes I wish I just played with Barbie as a kid, and not cars, bikes, boy stuff. But then again I would be driving a hairdresser car and not a Porsche.

Maybe 'Miss Daisy" my 356 might be more of a hairdresser car for a "Lady". Naaaah!

azzarule 01-24-2012 04:16 AM

You Gents are never awake when I am!

night all, time for bed here in Oz.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/suppo...leys/sleep.gif

Geronimo '74 01-24-2012 04:32 AM

Hi azza,

Do you wrench yourself? kudos!

When it gets to complicated, I turn into a checkbookmechanic....
Refurbing an alternator would start the transformation... :)

GH85Carrera 01-24-2012 05:30 AM

I did not think removing the alternator was that hard. I just dropped mine off at a shop that is real close to my office. He rebuilt the alternator and I installed it. That is the tricky part because it is real easy to get things out of alignment and the fan does not have much room.

Removing the electric switches for the seat adjustment is way more of a pain than the alternator.

Good morning guys.

Porsche-poor 01-24-2012 08:57 AM

Morning all.

Geronimo '74 01-24-2012 09:59 AM

Jim Richards 01-24-2012 10:26 AM

Evening, G-Meister. What's up?

And what happened to Doc Fluffer? He isn't holed up working on music videos, is he?

svandamme 01-24-2012 11:19 AM

He's rolling around in "the blues" (one way or another).

svandamme 01-24-2012 12:00 PM

tumblin' brass , i love it, chuck a boat load of dirty brass in the tumbler,
turn it on, go do sommin' else for 2 hours, return
seperator, couple of turns and presto : Bling bling shiny brass!

Porsche-poor 01-24-2012 12:15 PM

sounds like fun. beats the 27.5 hours of tutorial stuff I'm working thru.

porsche4life 01-24-2012 12:18 PM

This not having class on tuesday thursday business is nice... Even nicer when the boss has paperwork to do and doesn't need help....

And to answer your next question, yes it was after 1 when I drug my ass out of bed...

Porsche-poor 01-24-2012 12:21 PM

i will repeat said statement "SLACKER"

porsche4life 01-24-2012 12:22 PM

I maintain that it takes hard work to stay up all night, and sleep all day....

svandamme 01-24-2012 12:40 PM

i maintain you don't know what yer talkin about if you haven't ever been awake for at least 48 hours straight and then went to work.

nynor 01-24-2012 12:43 PM

I'm a bit jealous.... I'd like to go play in the snow...

RKDinOKC 01-24-2012 01:14 PM

That looks cold, and you look cranky.

You should be flailing for the camera stoked for a day freeriding.

azzarule 01-24-2012 01:16 PM

Hi Gents,

Yep I play with the tools, don't see any reason not to, can't let the boys have all the fun, anways, my hubby works too hard to play with the car too much, so its up to me.

The worst job I have done so far is the bloody trim pieces on the windscreens, who invented that!! It sucks, I stabbed myself a million times I ended up using more tape than you would painting the bloody car to hold everything together,
bloody German engineering, oh also the crankcase breather pipe on the rear of the engine, had to drop the engine down quite a bit to replace that recently, if women did more engineering then things that you have to get to, change out, work on, would all be at the front or side where you can get at it easily, engineering design should be for the future maintainers not the engineers. Thats what we try to do in aircraft design, doesn't always work, bloody uni educated drongos (engineers) let their imaginations go mad and forget it has to be maintained down the line somewhere. My 2 cents worth there.

Time for breakfast.

vas930 01-24-2012 01:38 PM

Howdy.
Cool pics, D.

Azza, dont complain about German engineering.
One day you will work on your HSV, and wish it was german.

GH85Carrera 01-24-2012 01:47 PM

Good afternoon folks. Azzarule, I was thinking you had bailed out on us. Good to see you back.

Now we just need to get Markus back to regular posting.

Outback Porsche 01-24-2012 01:50 PM
