G-man are you recovered from your disease?

We have been laughing at a recent bid proposal. We have been flying one job for a customer for 20 years or more. The maps they use to show what they want flown are maps we made. We do a lot of flying for companies that don't have an airplane. Those companies bid on projects all the time. We are pretty sure that the price we quote our "competitors" will be more than we charge to do the job for the final client direct.

That's just doing smart business.

I'm recovered 95%. The antibiotics cure is done.
I hope I can battle the last five percent myself.

Yea, the bid process requires at least 4 bids. Unless some out of state firm is willing to fly a long way for cheap we have a pretty good lock on it. We do it for a good price because it is real easy for us. Pull up the project from the last time, swap in new photos and a large part of the hard work is done.

Evening guys. Okay I have a question for the computer nerds. What is the point of "rooting" a droid phone?

Nothing, unless you want to play with the phone on a different level, have it do things it wasn't designed for the general public to do.

That's life when traveling. It gets real fun after a 14 hour flight and you are stuck in an airport in a foreign country for 2+ hours.

Downside is when you forget that the phone has been jail broken, you upgrade the OS and it wipes out the break. Then you have to wait for the teens in dark rooms to come up with a new jailbreak.

The biggest thing I use root access for is barnacle. It is a free wife hotshot appp, very handy. Root access can be had pretty easily these days, allow outside downloads, download one of the many quickie alps, run the app and go.
