This is a picture from the Hooters Car show. I did not shoot the picture, but the red 911 is the car that won 1st Place. It is a 2001 Turbo. My car is the white 85 911 and I came in second. The girls are the judges.

he tip better? My vote goes to the white one, not sucking up I just not a big fan of red.

There were like 6 or 7 red Porsches there that day. By far more red cars than any other color.

One reason I don't yet have a GT3 is I want a unmolested stock white or Gulf blue low mileage car. That & I don't look real hard.

I figure if I just happen upon a Gulf Blue 996 GT3 in my neighborhood with a for sale sign in the window it was meant to be, and I will go into debt. If I start a long hard look I can probably find something but on the other side of the country. I don't wanna know. It would be like checking out the dating web sites looking for a mistress. Not gonna do it.

One of the guys in our club was telling me that he was walking his dog one day and saw a neighborhood guy washing a nice Porsche. He stopped and started chatting with the guy. He walked back home and told his wife, "honey I just bought a Porsche".

I spent two years looking all over. One day a co-worker on the way back from a job site happend to drive by a dealer here in Tacoma and there sitting on the lot was a light blue metalic targa. Two days and a PPI later it was home in the garage. He is not allowed to come over now as the wife will kill him. She was so sure I'd never find one.
