Porsche-poor 05-27-2011 08:48 PM

Change the boss not hte passwords. I know easier said than done. Cozy up to the It dept and restrict him.

Just watch for water lines. Sorry I had to..

porsche4life 05-27-2011 09:05 PM

We will be mostly using this beside the highway, we always do locates on those...

Besides, we know what we are doing, this one digs a baby hole compared to our digger derrick. It will dig a 30" hole, 14' deep

Porsche-poor 05-27-2011 09:06 PM

Wanna come plant some fence posts for me?

porsche4life 05-27-2011 09:09 PM

You paying for the fuel? The truck gets 7mpg on diesel...

Oh and it tops out at 58mph...

Porsche-poor 05-27-2011 09:13 PM

I bet it would be cheeper to buy one here.

porsche4life 05-27-2011 09:16 PM

Probably... Our equipment doesnt leave the yard for less than a benjamin... ;)

Porsche-poor 05-27-2011 09:22 PM

don't blame you. right now I am in a pissing match with my neighbor over property lines and his need to cross ti to dump yard waste..........LOSER! So I am putting up a fence and possible setting up a camera.

porsche4life 05-27-2011 09:25 PM

That little unit is meant to be rented... Check into renting one if you build your own fence... They are like $200 for 4 days around here.... It would be money well spent.

Porsche-poor 05-27-2011 09:26 PM

its on a 45 degree incline probably have to be dug by hand. That and I want to stay on my side of the lot.

porsche4life 05-27-2011 09:28 PM

General makes some little one man augers. They work damned well too. We carry them on our trucks a lot... With an 8" bit they are really a 2 man job though. Home Depot rents those out....

might be an option. thanks for the info. Right now I have to clear a path, run a string line and point out the fact that the grass pile is not on the correct side.

porsche4life 05-27-2011 09:34 PM

If you have any questions about that type of equipment feel free to give me a shout... We are pretty good at making holes in the ground....

We have a cool hydraulic tamper, but dad blew it up last weekend. Not sure what went wrong, but it started spewing fluid out a popoff valve and the side of the aluminum case tried to blow out....

Porsche-poor 05-27-2011 09:34 PM

over pressure?

slodave 05-27-2011 09:35 PM

I hope he's not loony, like the guy (and family) next to my parents. What a nightmare it's been. Seriously, the family is nuts. None of their elevators go to the top floor.

Porsche-poor 05-27-2011 09:37 PM

not suer yet but he got some big ones attempting to tell me what to do with my lot and what he can do on my lot. The wife is lawyer so he got a little letter today explaining the facts of life to him.

porsche4life 05-27-2011 09:38 PM

Not sure what happened. We suspect something plugged up in the tamper. The truck(hydraulic power source) bogged down briefly, and then all hell broke loose. We need to tear it apart and investigate.
