A friend of mine that used to run a repair shop & used car dealership always gave his regular customers a loaner car that was a little newer or more optioned out than the car they were having serviced. A LOT of those customers would end up falling in love with the loaner and trade in their older car for the loaner. He moved a lot of cars that way.

Good morning all.

My regular route to work has had to change due to road construction. In Oklahoma most everything is laid out in a grid. North, east, south or west are the directions you can travel. Only a few highways and interstates go the other directions. If you need to go southwest you go a mile south and a mile west, or a mile west then a mile south. Since you are driving straight lines it does not much matter which way you go around the square mile. The only difference is where the lights or traffic is heavy. It has been interesting going different ways to verify what I felt to be true. My old route had the fewest lights and was the easiest route. If you are real lucky and hit all the lights on the other routs things are fast. Most of the time I seem to hit a red light. My favorite route home has just one light.

It is a pretty easy 8 mile commute. :D

Thanks but my problems pale in comparison to Dave's. I just need to learn to let it go.

Good evening. Hey we had a tornado here last week. 75 mph winds no damage just a little guy.

GH85Carrera 06-01-2011 08:00 PM

75 MPH, what a wimpy storm. We had 60 MPH winds a few weeks ago. Not a quick storm, but most of the day was wind gusts that made it hard to walk.

Our big tornado on May 3rd 1999 had 300+ MPH winds. Those are not estimates but measured by radar.

Did you see the video of the tornado that had Mass. today?

Good night dudes!

Porsche-poor 06-01-2011 08:02 PM

Hey I said it was a little guy. We get one or two small ones every year or so th talking heads say. Not anything like you get there but hey its news.
