cue rick in 50 minutes.
how much did you lose? |
all that mucking about building the shower has done me in, feel like i've been hit by a car.
everything hurts |
pussy
the homebrew has really sucked me in tonight. berry blond and coconut porter, amen. there was also the full sail pale ale and half a bottle of orval.
the other half of the orval was sacrificed to the beer gods, in order to make a starter that had some bettanomyces. WTF! you ask. well, i am making a bier de mars and i need some brettanomyces. so there. |
Two nights in a row, my heeler wants to play ball at 3:00 am.Gawd you think she was a pup, she's 4 years old. Stoke the fire, and good morn-night.:(:(:rolleyes:
play ball? as in fetch? in the house?
Morning, I could get used to this sleeping in thing.
mornin, rick. how did the work thing play out? (!)
Typical owner smoke blowing up my hind quarters. That's okay I got his number. Doesn't matter much now I am simply going on principal.
a blow by blow would really satisfy my curiosity.
Okay.
Rick: Jim, when ya get a second I would like to talk to ya. Jim: Okay, well now works. ( Rick and Jim enter Jim's office and Jim sits, Rick remains standing, this is a mental game so as to tower over Jim) Rick: Okay Jim, I am going to ask you for the 10% cut that we all took, to be reinstated based on the following observations. 1: the main person who was bleeding you dry no longer works here 2:You let Karen go, so there is one non productive person let go 3: You have increased the labor rate 4:You hired a cleaning crew that comes in 3 days a week, so money can't be that tight Jim: Uh-huh, I'll look at some things over the weekend. Rick: Uh Huh, So we can continue this discussion Monday I recon. Jim:.............................................. ......................... He knows I am watching, and I also asked for the 4 of us to get our money back so I am nit just looking out for me. I think I am going to have to keep on his butt about it. We'll see. Tomorrow will tell a lot. I did however remove the labor board thing from his computer. Here in Va I have no rights so that is counter productive to my plight. |
that is a lot more polite than i expected. the last time i had a confrontation with an employer it almost came to blows. the arse-hat has no idea how close he was.
That was me thursday. I am very directed when I have time to think. When I am ready to hit someone I walk away. To be honest I am afraid of myself when I get to that point. The last person I hit, I really messed up. I don't like that. Although he did hit my daughter so he is lucky I didn't kill him
sounds about right. i think it is my calmness that unnerves folks when i am pissed off.
Well Like I said, when you hear me you are okay, it is when I get very quiet that people that know me just kinda slink away. It is strange it is like the calm before the storm. There is a very bad storm brewing here. I have several issues with several people that I am getting ready to tackle. The Job is just a warm up. :)
i am glad i am hearing ya.
Well I wish I had stood my ground years ago and not let my situation get to the point where I have to bristle up like this. I am good at it but I don't like it. I think when I made a strong effort to contain my violent temper that I went to far and allowed others to walk over me.
No more. Okay happy thoughts.............................. ummmmmmmmmmmmmm I don't have any, You pick one. |
i can't wait to do the tail of the dragon.
That is not to be missed. You know you can fly out and rent a car. Duke showed up the first year in his wife's Malibu. Too funny
my wife is on board for this pilgrimage. i just need to figure out how to get my 951 and the 900SS out there at the same time.
Good morning, gentlemen. All well I hope.
Morning Doc.
ok, time for me to go to bed.
Night D.
grouting tiles... bleh
You did use grout release, right?
no idea what that is, don't care.
It's a chemical that you put over the tiles before you grout. It prevents the grout and it's pigments from sticking/penetrating the tile. It is very good for earthen tiles like slate or terracotta. Just makes life a little easier. Sorry but I like tile work.
it came off pretty quickly, did not use the big tiles, wanted a shower this weekend, and them big tiles i could not deal with without a big tile saw.
So went and got me some cheap white 30x25 white porcelain tiles. With white grout, so the piss poor tile laying is slightly covered up. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1262537730.jpg It's not bling, but to hell with that.. Just want a shower and be done with it. All i gotto do is put a Sillicone/Tec 7 joint at the bottom of the tiles.. And then close up the ceiling, and roof beams... I'll recycle them big tiles for something else. |
As long as you can get yer azz showered that is all that matters. :)
That's what i'm thinking.
Another prime example of what would get overly complicated with a wo-man on board. nitpicking about the color of this, color of that, mirror sizes, not enough lights around the sink, blablabla, blablabla. And then *****ing about how it's not pretty enough and how i should have had it done by a pro which would not be a problem , if the pro twists her arm out for the money instead of my arm, but i'm sure you'll confirm this Rick, That's not the way it works, innit. All i care about is : - Have shower upstairs, rather then bath tub on the street level - That it doesn't leak |
Morning boys..... I'm about to go upstairs and break some little kids legs.... Hasn't sat still for at least 2hrs...
i'm gonna sign off, been busy as hell all of 2010, need to get some rest before i get the pleasure of returning to work.
Then next Friday i gotta go help gravity make that engine drop @ G-man... And more work in the weekend... Luckily, in between all this work, i have managed to take care of my #1 person on this world... ME! And the 3.3 Turbo Heads, X-mas present i bought for that person should be delivered tomorrow or today.. Still more parts needed, need cam and chain housings maybe G-man won't notice those missing next Friday. And a 3.2 oil pump ain't to bad either... It would most definitely be a good thing for the parts gap if i swipe some of his parts and add em to my pile :D * Look G, this oil pump, it's not shiny enough, that's worn out.. You gotta replace it. I'll dispose of this one for you, has to be done properly the oil residue and all.. gotta think of the environment * |
Afternoon Sid.
BTW, that is what kids do |
I know.... But when I am trying to sleep off a headache it just pisses me off....
Yeah I know the feeling, when I bought this place 20 years ago, I gave the second floor to the kids. Sometimes I regretted that decision
