I had four removed at one time as well. Not fun but not as bad as some people claim.

Geronimo '74 07-13-2011 02:51 PM

I think I have two removed under general anesthesia. I was asleep so I can't really be sure.

Porsche-poor 07-13-2011 03:04 PM

slept thru it and didn't miss a thing.

As I mentioned I had three removed. It was a two year process. As soon as one came through the gums the dentist was ready. Just a shot of Novocaine, and basically a pair of vice grips. After one extraction I went off to high school. I was there most of the day until I opened my mouth just a little too far and caught a blast of cold air on the socket. I stood up and told the teacher I am going home. I did not ask permission. I walked down to the principals office and mumbled I am going home. He stopped me long enough to write me a pass. I went home and took a Darvon and fell asleep.

I was not dissapointed that the 4th one did not grow.

i don't blame you. the 4 I had were removed in one visit. gums took forever to heal. tea bags kept the bleeding down.

mine weren't so bad. the oral surgeon said, "you have size 12 teeth in a size 14 mouth." go figure.

So you have a Steve Tyler big mouth? ;)

For those of you that don't go to the 911 Tech section I found the problem on why my 911 was not running right.

The #2 plug wire at the distributor was not a solid connection. Pad pookie corrosion is evident with the green corrosion.

slodave 07-13-2011 05:41 PM

Just jam a little wire in there and duct tape it together. It's all good.

I was going to guess either that or a banana in the tailpipe.

Porsche-poor 07-13-2011 08:44 PM

Wow car issues in the not so car issue area. Who would have thought.......

slodave 07-13-2011 08:49 PM

Could've been about a Mustang or well setup 944.

got any of that blue masking tape left? go find a sturdy wall and make an "X" at about face height, take one step back and bang head on "X".

Porsche-poor 07-13-2011 09:43 PM

just kidding

slodave 07-13-2011 09:50 PM

Now you tell me! I've been banging my head on the blue X for the last half hour.

slodave 07-13-2011 09:52 PM

BTW, if you attempt to do the loctite fix yourself, instead of measuring each saddle height or in conjunction, measure each string at the 12th fret. You will need a ruler preferably with 64ths.

Geronimo '74 07-14-2011 12:36 AM

Morning Dave.

slodave 07-14-2011 12:38 AM

And a late morning to you, G.

Geronimo '74 07-14-2011 12:41 AM

yes, late, it's a holiday here (three weeks for almost the entire construction sector).
I keep working but I did adopt a holiday regime. If they don't like it, I'll just stay at home.

slodave 07-14-2011 01:07 AM

Done working yet?

Geronimo '74 07-14-2011 01:10 AM

:D:D I'm a slow starter.... (just look at my rebuild, you'll know what I mean :D:D)
