Bad day Friday. Bulb went out on Big Screen TV, took couple of hours and $200 to find and then replace the bulb. A little let down because that means I've now spent $600 for my used 50in TV. Looking at the shop I got the bulb at I could have gotten a 65" DLP for $880.

After popping the bulb back in looked into the speaker distortion that started the day before. Found both the 10in woofers on my really cool 22 year old speakers finally gave up. The foam just fell apart. After a couple hours of searching I found a couple of guys here in OKC that rebuilds vintage speakers. Pulled the woofers and drove them over to them. Looks like it's going to take at least a week and another $100 to get them repaired. The speakers are DBX SF-150. The are designed to provide the same volume from each speaker no matter where you are in the room. I really like them.

Oh yeah, and my 928 is still in the shop. Should have only taken a couple of days to install the programable ECU chips, not 2 months +.

The new ones are that clean in sound its a bit odd.

It's only 9.30pm Sat. night. Will be staying in, as usual. Tomorrow, drag my butt back to the skate shop to get 8 more bearings... Lets see, package has 8, rollerblades need 16... Then off to my parents to work on my Toyota for a bit and do some free laundry while I have a chance. Then I really need to get my head back in the flight books and finish my pilots license.

I'm up to the part where I procrastinate because I have issues with tests.. I need to take the written, but first I really need to get my head in the books and up to speed. After the written, I have to take an oral test and flight - almost always on the same day for these two. When I pass all three, I get my license..

I can sort of fly on my own now, but only to a certain area and without passengers - other than my instructor. If the instructor is with you, you can fly with passengers - if they dare.

Are you getting it for fun or for work?

It's something I need to do. My dad has his and when I was around 15, talked him into letting me get mine, but I never took him up on the offer - until last year. I enjoy flying, but I think that it will be good for my self esteem to get through these tests. Solely fir fun. I have no interest in flying as a job.
