We had fun yesterday watching the kids lay down tracks over and over for 5 hours. Today I think is movie day.

Ok how are you doing that. I have tried all weekend to up load a picture and been unsuccessful.

Afternoon. I spent my morning moving furnature from one house to the next for family members. Dad gave ma an old .22 rifle, marketed under the montgomery ward name. Time to do a little research. :)

I just finished cleaning 4 guns. Love to shoot them hate the cleaning. Working at finding space in the garage to start a long term project with Daves help and teaching.

Okay quick research reviles my new toy is a Wards Westernfield model 47a. Manufactured by Mossburg between 1937-1938. It also has the original scope with the rubber eye piece and rear swing away sight. :) Not worth too much but kinda cool in never seen type of way.

Thats the same way my old remington is Rick. Not worth much, but cool and pretty rare. Just wish I could get some sight inserts for the peep sights.

Also cool that it belonged to my Great Grandfather during the depression, and he was obviously keeping tally of kills on the stock.

I have a 1946 H&R .22 pump gun that I am redoing. It is an old gallery gun and accurate as hell. Just something about an old .22 that just fun. I like my old ones better than the couple of new ones I have. My MKII excluded from that group.

Gave my inherited childhood 22 rifle to my nephews...but I did keep a couple momentos of ownage...

Tossed coins, 10 year old with a 22 rifle is a deadly accurate weapon.

I do still have my cheap plastic Red Ryder BB gun.

Cleaned the boys Henry 22 today. Normally I make him do it but I thought I would be nice.

Stijn!!

No gun cleaning here. We went to see the movie The Help. Good flick.

Other than that a total lazy day.

Tomorrow I will find a project in the garage.

Alright! Tube amp is really alive now. Looks like I had left out a wire connecting one of the preamp tubes to the circuit board. Why it worked half-assed the other day, I don't know. I seemed to have lost the clean tone though. It's either distorted and quiet or distorted and loud - not that there's anything wrong with that. :D Would be nice to get the clean tones though.

Off to a farewell dinner for a friend. More playing when I get home.

Porsche-poor 09-04-2011 09:55 PM

Bed time for me.

slodave 09-04-2011 10:21 PM

So why are you still here? :)

livi 09-04-2011 10:33 PM
