I heard a weather report the other day that we need 20 inches of rain to get back to normal. Hopefully it does not come all in one day.

What lead up to this.

Years ago, when I lived in another house, my drive to and from work took me through an older upscale neighborhood. The kind of neighborhood with 150ft lots and 3000-4000 sqft homes and it is illegal to have a pickup truck parked in front of the home after 5pm. On one such drive home, I turned a corner to see two ladies, a teen age girl, and a 7-8 year old boy standing in the middle of a yard. They were not near a sidewalk, driveway or path, just smack dab in the middle of the yard. The two ladies were just chatting, no one was showing emotion, seemed very matter of fact. The interesting thing was that one of the ladies had the boy by the hand and the boy was but naked. I watched in my mirror as I continued down the street and the scene did not change. They were all just standing there chatting.

If the boy had just run out of the house naked, why were they all just standing there chatting, wouldn't they be ushering the boy back into the house scolding him or something? But, they were just standing there chatting and pretty much paying no attention whatsoever to the naked boy.

You are trying to apply logic to a snippit of what you saw happen. Maybe the kid was a habitual streaker, or retarded. There is jut not enough information to ever know what was really happening.

Well, drove by the house every day. Sometimes seeing kids out playing in the drive with their bikes etc, sometimes not. Never saw the kid streaking before or since. Struck me as odd that they were all just casually standing there, yet the kid was butt nekkid.

Had habitual streakers across the street when I was growing up. The Mom always chased or dragged them back into the house yelling at them. Never just caught them then stood around in the front yard chatting with the other neighbors. And she liked standing around in the yard chatting it up with the neighbors.

Rod Serling was behind the tree talking to them. You were in the twilight zone!

So anyway..
