The inside leather at the top of mine are falling apart. I think these are almost done as well.

No way! I had these resoled exactly 4 years ago.
 I'm getting my $'s ($60) worth out of them. Besides, they are still really comfortable. The most important thing.

Well mine are not, the "stiffeners" that run along the inside are wanting to dig under my ankle. They are toast.

This death stuff has to stop. The angel at the bakery was in tears this morning trying to make travel arrangements back to Malaysia, she had just gotten a call that her dad was very sick. Didn't get details, but it was the kind of "you better come home as soon as possible" type of call. Enough already. She's the last person I'd want to see hurting, always handed a treat to my boys when we walk in, always a huge smile, always a "Good Morning Pete!".
Her father should be proud. But G***dammit.... stop hurting people I like.
