Yes that is a great picture.
|
thanks, guys. i wish i had taken it. it is my wife and son, however.
good night. |
Have a WD passport and was very pissed to find it does not work as a bootable backup. It is relegated to archive files to and NOT primary drive backup. Use a bootable Carbon Copy Clone to an ezquest for drive failure backup. For individual file recovery I have a 2TB Time Capsule for my wireless router and use Time Machine.

I just use mine as a giant flash drive basically. Just for copying photos and documents in case the computer hard drive fails.
|
I need to dig mine out and do that... Havent backed up photos or videos in months.

Morning boys.
Glen, that is a useful phrase. Thanks! Nynor and Sidney - great pics both, although they would win in slightly different categories.. :D |
This calls for
another post. |
Only another post? Not another drink?

Oorg. Just got a call from the ER. For something I can tell over the telephone isn't what the ER doc thinks it is.
|
So does that mean you are going to work at midnight?

For something that could happen theoretically, but has never ever happened the dozens of times I've ever been called for it. (Mind you, every time I've gotten called by the ER, it was because they thought the patient needed to go to the OR right away.) Well, it might happen if the patient didn't get any medical care. But the patient is going to be admitted to the hospital and get antibiotics, so it won't happen. Because it fortunately doesn't. |
So what you are saying is, your work can wait till normal business hours?
|
I know it, but I can't say it. 'Cause then I'd be labeled an arsehole.
Why do people with dog/cat bites always wait until after dinner to go to the ER? It's been bugging 'em for 12-48 hours already. I don't blame the ER guy for calling. A surgeon should keep tabs on the exam in case something worsens. But that's not how the ER guy phrased the situation. By throwing around the name of the diagnosis (but not enough pertinent physical exam findings to back up his case for an operative candidate), he knows that legally I have to go in tonight to see the patient. It's a bit like calling 911 and telling them that your crazy neighbor is walking around the front of his house with something in his hand that looks like a gun. When it could well be a hose nozzle 'cause he's going gardening work. What are the cops going to do, not show up? |
