What language is the message in all those wires? I can't read it at all.

Yep, that is the majority of my injuries except age.

it says "warning loud cool sounds to be made here"

slodave 09-01-2011 08:42 PM

It's that time...... Does it work...

Porsche-poor 09-01-2011 08:43 PM

I'll let you know if I hear it from here.

Just bought this awesome short board... old but in great condition... turns out it was signed by the shaper in between the plies on the bottom... so I look the guy up and he's a custom board shaper from manhattan, I found the guy on facebook actually. Pretty cool, it was custom made for somebody long ago and has passed a lot of hands since. I'm wondering if the guy remembers the board (I don't think he does a lot of them) & what the story is behind it...

Crap. Looks like I have to look at the wiring a little. Thought a tube was bad, swapped positions and it works. Close!

Porsche-poor 09-01-2011 08:55 PM

no smoke?

slodave 09-01-2011 09:05 PM

No smoke! A good thing. Found one solder joint that came undone and I think I wired the input jack backwards... Trying a fix at my parents....

slodave 09-01-2011 09:16 PM

It's alive!!! Needs a bit of tuning to get things sorted out, but it works!

Porsche-poor 09-01-2011 09:18 PM

Cool. I'm glad it worked. Still debating on the issue at hand. I might take you up on the band saw item.

slodave 09-01-2011 09:24 PM

Now that this is on the downhill slide, I can get back to your questions.

Porsche-poor 09-01-2011 09:25 PM

none tonight sir. studing that 61 thread. which is proving to be a great learning experience.

Porsche-poor 09-01-2011 09:41 PM

off to bed for me. have to work tomorrow.

Porsche-poor 09-01-2011 09:57 PM

Ok I thought of one. The pre slotted fret boards from st-mac are they already rounded on top?

slodave 09-01-2011 10:15 PM

Yes, but it needs to be touched up after inlaying the MOP. I have a radius block I made, it was one of the things I can send.

slodave 09-01-2011 10:20 PM

Why??? 6 years ago, I was working on my car in a hanger that was still well over 100*, when I get stumped and frustrated and go home to watch tv...... Tv craps out right before the end of a interesting program, really pissing me off. Been without tv since....

Tonight, I come home elated that the amp works... Sit down to enjoy some Internet time and nothing. Either the modem is dead or ATT is having issues.

This sucks all over again. :D

slodave 09-01-2011 10:29 PM

I'm thinking ATT is having issues. Internet is sloooow over 3G too. Arg! Movie time.

Geronimo '74 09-01-2011 11:40 PM

Morning dudes, i slept in.

livi 09-01-2011 11:41 PM

Morning, gentlemen!

Glen, livi is short for Olivia. My first daughter. Then came Julia, Isak, Hannah.. and I am starting to ponder the idea of a no 5.

A credible pediatrician should have at least a handful kids. :D

Dave, you havn´t blown up yet, have you? That amp project of yours sometimes makes me worry.
