What kind of chemicals?

porsche4life 11-23-2011 10:06 PM

I really love my disc brakes... Sure they squeak a little, but the damn things STOP when you grab them.

Oilfield drilling chemicals, not sure exactly what.

I like the old heel brake.
You may come home alive, you may not.

AC/DC has so many good songs that either never made it to the radio or are so rarely played.

FINALLY!

Three days (about 28 work hours total) of length matching LVDS transmission lines, and I'm done.

I'm over it.

Sorry guys, I needed to vent and this appeared as the appropriate forum where I would most likely get some sympathy.

Cheers,

My mountainbike has rubber brakes that have a hard lever , short throw, and are very grabby and noisy, though they will stop with some power if you can tolerate the fork vibrating with the grabbing.

My 'road' bike has rubber brakes with a soft lever and long throw with not much power. They get the job done but they make you worried the first time you use them.

I go faster with the soft mushy brakes because it takes a lot of motion on the lever before they do anything. I can chicken out and squeeze the brakes a bit without loosing speed.:)

How long a distance are you driving these signals and what for?

vas930 11-23-2011 10:11 PM

I like Shark Sandwich.

Flieger 11-23-2011 10:11 PM

Plus changing rubber pads is so frustrating. They are adjustable in 4 axis with no detents for them. Disc pads are like a car, right? Plug and play.

Porsche-poor 11-23-2011 10:11 PM

I need to get connor to learn a few more ac/dc songs.

Get him to learn the solo for Ride On.... I've got the chorus down and can play the bass as well.. Just need drums!

Pretty much like a car. I can QR my front wheel very fast to put the bike in my car. The disc is just on with a few bolts, super easy to swap a disc, pads don't look hard to change either.

Hmmm. You know how to make the PCB's as well?

vas930 11-23-2011 10:23 PM

Reckon he knows all about the PCBs.

Schwinn Cutter Fixie 2012

I kind of want that to ride around campus, but I don't really have room for two bikes, and buying that would leave me still needing a road bike...

So I'll stick with the marlin for campus/dirt, and I'll pick up a pavement rig this winter from some poor sap that needs money.
