At dinner nephews boys (5 of them) were having a competition to see who could gain the most weight. The oldest won, 14lbs!

Your dad won't let you take passengers? WTF
I am not saying he would not allow it, but he still has to sign off since he is the one paying the registration.

He is a very nervous passenger on certain roads. He likes the excitement when it is over.

I drive sensibly on normal roads. When we get to my favorite canyons I pick up the pace quite a bit. Some of those roads are too tight and blind for him but I have been up on one particular one many thousands of times (literally) on my bike so I know it very well. I can go fast enough to scare him without even trying. Especially with the Rebel Racing suspension stuff and the sorted out corner balance.

The fast part of Mulholland I can push a lot harder and he just thinks it is fun. We get to the tight part by the Rock Store which I know so well and I can hardly do 6/10ths without him getting freaked out.

The CHP has a big presence there at times, but it used to be a lot worse. I think that is his main scare, rather than me loosing the rear end or something. Then there is the other guy. Lots of crotch rockets crash there.

Sid, if you remind my Dad that he would not be so nervous if he was not riding maybe he would let you ride.

Actually, he would probably be cool with it since it would be showing the Oklahoma boy some hospitality.

Magnus might be a better one to ask for a ride though.

We'll figure it out when I get out there.... I'm sure somebody will let me in a car....

I have to admit, I much prefer driving to riding, I'm not a good passenger...

Max, you really need to start doing AX's or De's. That's where the real driving is at. Those canyons are fun, but it's not the same. You have yet to go on one of those canyon runs with us anyway. If you want to keep up with Magnus, you'd better get that 6/10's up to least 9/10's.

Dave is right, you really need to hit some A/X to learn the limits...

You haven't lived till you've gone to about 11/10s and had the car bite you....

PCA SBR Auto-Xs are not that great.

I do not want to drive from SLO to Thousand Oaks (175 miles) one night, then get up early and do another long drive (150 miles maybe?) to El Toro and back in the same day, then go back to school the next day.

I like to ride my bike in the mornings. I prefer that to driving. I go out in the afternoons with my Dad and enjoy the canyons.

What I would most likely do first is an OTR or something like that at Willow Springs.

There is too much stuff to do to get POC qualifications for me to do it now. Too many days spent in a hotel near Willow Springs.

I like to drive for fun.

yeah well, i can assure you that 11/10's is way more scary on a fast hilly road with big effing trees on either side of the road, instead of orange cones.
Pretty sure you would have needed new pants if you sat next to me yesterday, when that white van driver (they go fast),
didn't check his mirrors to see me coming (i go faster), and then overtook him on the outside of a fast but sharp turn...
I think the white van driver needed new pants too, as he thought he would be able to exit wide from that turn, but saw me instead...

I get a lot of enjoyment thinking about race car designs and engineering. Driving is just the icing on the cake basically.
