Nite all.
Have a great day.

RKDinOKC 12-02-2011 12:54 AM

The left hand brake would be a bit easier if the lever were higher up and easier to grab.

RKDinOKC 12-02-2011 12:54 AM

Oh yeah, and no ratcheting lock.

Sid, I asked Beth out and she turned me down, I took it in stride, a few days I asked her out again and again she turned me down, that was cool, a couple of days later I told her I never ask twice but I was feeling in a good mood and I would let her have one last chance, and asked her out again, she said yes. It never hurts to ask. of course I didn't think she would show up and our first date was a double date, me Beth and the girl I was on the outs with. I got very drunk very fast that night.

Random BS post just to help close the gap.

w00t, got approval from the bossman, i can order me a new BMW

Thinking about the new 1 series, would like it in sports hatch again(but it's not out yet).
I'll prolly go to the 1.6 Efficient dynamics range, cause it's cheaper in taxes.
And spend the extra budget on options instead.
Must haves
sport seats
lumbar support
sports steering wheel
manual airco (i don't feel that electronic airco is worth the extra cost)
towing hook
Radio CD
center console
Xenon Headlights
ABS plastic trunk bin, dunno what you guys call it.. a big thing that stops the trunk from dirtying up if something spills
mudflaps
rubber floormats

Do not want
Built in satnav
rainsensor (fecking hate those, wipers never work when they should)
foglights front(they always get busted from roadkill impact)

might want
comfort access (keyless entry)
adaptive headlights

I think i'll go for black this time, dunno yet what kind of black.

Rick V 12-02-2011 02:27 AM

Very cool

svandamme 12-02-2011 02:47 AM

Bit tricky as i want a 3 doors sports hatch, but they aren't out yet
And i gotta order by end of year, cause my lease runs out end of march and there's a 3 month delivery time...

Rick V 12-02-2011 02:54 AM

I just can't get past the looks of the new BMW's, I mean the guy designed cars for Pontiac in the early 80's and just can't let his ideas go.

svandamme 12-02-2011 02:57 AM

I agree totally, i actually liked the first 1 series look, it looked more agressive and purpose full then the 3 or 5. But the new 1 is FUGLY, the lines are just horrible.. which is why i'm getting it it black, as it kinda keeps those lines from coming out pronounced.
http://www.bmwblog.com/wp-content/up...warz-UK-02.jpg

But in the end, for me it's a practical choice, i want Rear wheel drive, and i have a limited budget..
So that kinda limits the choice to a 1 series with options, or a 3 with nothing on it.
The new 3 looks only a bit better, but it's heavier, not as nimble and no options is no fun either.

And let's face it, i don't stand around looking at the darn thing, i sit in side driving.. So even if it looks a bit less, i won't suffer from it.

Rick V 12-02-2011 03:00 AM

Well if someone was going to give me a car to drive, I would take it but if I were going to buy one, BMW is NOT on my list of ones to look at. That is sad as I have been working on/owning BMW's for many years. Bangle cost at least one customer/supporter.

Rick V 12-02-2011 03:25 AM

Okay off to that four letter word.........................
