Morning guys

slodave 12-10-2011 01:48 AM

Morning! Coyote sighting! Not uncommon, but a bit rare on my street.

Rick V 12-10-2011 01:50 AM

The abnormal seems to be the norm lately, we have had a few here this year and it is a first in the 20 years I have been here

slodave 12-10-2011 01:59 AM

Rick, Thanks again for the help! The Internet has a great wealth of info, but sometimes, things are missing. The way you described things made perfect sense. It probably took about 45 minutes to tear back down and get the wheel back on.

Rick V 12-10-2011 02:06 AM

Any time Dave. I am glad you got it back up and running.

Well today is my Baby's 22nd. That makes me feel old

livi 12-10-2011 02:14 AM

Markus don't take this the wrong way but that sounds like something someone made up to make the old people feel good about themselves.:D
I just prefer to say some of us have lived to be this age, that usually shuts up the young people who call me old....

slodave 12-10-2011 02:19 AM

Dewd! You're not that old. :D

I did have my second scare on the Corolla... :) Got it on the ground, started and put it in D... Yay! The speedo sat at 0. Took foot off brake and the car rolled forward. Encouraging. Drove around a bit and all was well. Got it lined up to put it back into the hanger, put it in reverse and "clunk". Oh ****. Turns out I had not tightened the right front wheel. The wheel and rotor were floating a bit. Tightened it up and the front end was as quiet as can be.

Dave just remember Righty-tighty-lefty-loosey

slodave 12-10-2011 02:25 AM

Wait, what?!?

slodave 12-10-2011 02:28 AM

I thought the cotter pins held it all in place. ;)

Rick V 12-10-2011 02:29 AM

Okay lets try this from a different angle, if you take it off it should be tightened when you put it back on.

Exactly what are we talking about here..?

Rick V 12-10-2011 02:34 AM

You turn it to the right to tighten it, you turn it to the left to loosen it.

slodave 12-10-2011 02:36 AM

Markus, Rick is just giving me a hard time because I forgot to tighten my nuts.
