No, just handed over a envelope of cash and left with a new pickup...

Having to bring cash made me a little nervous...

Between what I had in my backpack, and the cash I had hidden in there, I had somewhere in the 12-14k range on my back through 2 airports...

Here's the question of the night....

Since I've been about 5 years old, I've been shooting a bow. As a kid, I wanted a crossbow, but my parents would never allow it. To be more specific, I've always wanted a pistol crossbow. Only for targets. I have not really looked for one over the years, but I do see one offered in the local Big5 ads now and then. It goes on sale for about $40... I know it's probably cheap, but I'm not looking for something that needs to hold up to the elements. It has an 80# draw...

Do I go for it or should I invest a little time and if I am really serious, buy a decent one. Again, this is just or fun.

I have a super cheap pistol crossbow, its fun, but finding a place to shoot it that you can retrieve the bolts.

slodave 12-21-2011 08:43 PM

Being that it's "super cheap", are you happy with the way it performs? Is it semi-accurate?

porsche4life 12-21-2011 08:45 PM

I assume, I've never really put it on paper... It hits pop cans and stuff. Mine was less than 20, I'm assuming it could be sighted a bit better...

Like I said, been wanting one since a kid. I think the AMC show, The Walking Dead is what turned me back on to the idea. One of the characters uses a crossbow.

porsche4life 12-21-2011 09:03 PM

If you can spare the change, and have a place to shoot it, I say go for it...

If you do a body count for religious wars and chart them on a timeline against the birth rate there will be no-one left to fight over religion by 2025.

Good. There are too many people around anyway. Mulholland will be open for racing once again.

It's on sale thru the 28th... It's supposed to have "pin point" accuracy up to 60'. I may just finally go for it. I think I still have my old target at my parents.
